VolunTEENs Promote Disaster Preparedness at Five Points' St. Patrick's Day Parade

March 14, 2015, The VolunTEENs braved the holiday elements to promote Disaster Preparedness while marching in the annual 5 Points’ St. Patrick’s Day Parade.  The rain failed to dampen their spirits as they distributed Red Cross materials as well as holiday souvenirs and cheer.  The Regional Palmetto SC Chapter loaned their High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV or Humvee) for the event to demonstrate the many resources the Red Cross has to offer.  The VolunTEENs decorated the Humvee, placing a large box on the roof-rack depicting the gifts and services the Red Cross provides to the community, such as Disaster Preparedness, Blood Services, and Health Training.

The VolunTEENs in attendence include the club's leadership team, listed from left to right,  Ta’Von Richardson, Anthony John, Tyler Hain, Hugh Goffinet, Megan Reardon, Kayla Hodge, Monique Sparkman, Janelle Hodgeand Andre Slater.
